Great pics both, niimo. Really a lot of fun playing with the dof. I love tri-x in that camera for some reason - indoors, ambient light. Tri-x and Diafine. I shoot to at were the "under" light pops on, since it's supposed to shot around 1600.

Negative scan on a dirty scanner bed; sorry for the Newton rings... TriX 400, Yashica Lynx 14E at f1.4. Nick's post is right above this, and it gives me a good opportunity to thank him for his warm recommendation of this camera, which was instrumental in my decision to purchase it. I hope you like it

Oh - m'goodness. No need to thank me. I just come here to blab and rant about cameras. Do love the 14e though. Lots of folks don't like it due to its size but I really think it's something special. Metered manual and a very good 1.4 with fill-flash ready quiet leaf shutter? Parallax corrected view finder... C'mon what the hell else do you want from a camera? So it weighs a bit... BFD.
Anyway, another terrific shot, Newton rings and all. Glad you like the camera. Unlike restaurants, I continue to recommend them : )

The meter in my camera doesn't work, saves me the trouble of finding a poisonous battery. Before buying it, I was looking out on ebay for a Lynx 14E in working condition with possibly malfunctioning meter... and lo! along came one and I grabbed it

Thanks Nick! tri-x does seem to be just right for it!

Lynx 14e
Lynx 14e
Still fiddling with scanning from glossy contact sheets, and this one has too many compression artifacts, but it was a fun shot of my daughter with daylight from a north kitchen window, either 2.0 or 1.4 at 1/60. The curls on her stuffed dog and the stripes on her shirt have great texture on the contact print, and I liked the contrast in her eyes and hair. Still getting used to the camera.
