Well, I'm down to 2 rolls of Ilford XP2, both in cameras. Last roll I bought in town was $9.99 for 24 exp!!! Awwwkk! Hope the Kodak will be a good replacement.
Buy it at B&H, bulk! Roll yer own... I dunno - $2 and change per roll? Guessing. No way near $10 a roll. Get a bag full of spent 35mm cartridges and tape (I use 35mm green film splicing tape, that's a little hard to find).

yeah $10 a roll for 24 exp. just makes the mind reel ...
januaryman, no offense taken -- i didn't scan or post-process it at all, so must be Walgreens (or the film...but I think you'll be quite happy with it -- other than the color of the film base, I can't tell any real difference between XP2+ and BW400CN, but I haven't shot -THAT- many rolls of it either, so YMMV.) Very nice shot above -- nice tonality!

Film is the other way
Lynx 5000 wide open
I've a Lynx 14e, I'm not certain if the lens is the same however the image still has that remarkable 'Yashinon glow'

Jan, have to admit that I'm hooked by how Lynx draws on wide apertures. While 14 has more complex lens, they all (1000, 5000, 14) have curved aperture blades, thus while still simple 5-blade apertures they have shape closer to circle than Electro or say, Konica Auto models. Well, when "wide open" shape of blades doesn't count. Just wanted to share observation after realizing how good Lynx'es are.

btgc, I don't shoot wide open though Gabriel, one of the RFF members does. However he doesn't shoot Yashica. I personally have grown very fond of Yashica glass in both the G series of rangefinders, the Lynx and the Yashicamat TLR's.
