Giving away three Retina parts-unit cameras - do I NEED to place a Classified post?

I have three parts-donor Retina's to give away due to cannibalism. All are missing lenses & shutters. They are seriously parts units and not restoration candidates.

I bought two damaged and the third in unknown condition. I successfully cleaned the shutter but due to incorrect tool, I removed the helicoid, which was very wrong method. After several attempts, I could not get the threads to start in the right place to get the lens registration correct. I had paid US$1.15 for that camera & did not want to sent it to Chris Sherlock. I gave away the lens & shutter.

Retina II missing lens, shutter, folding strut ass'y & bellows
Retina IIa from Europe, missing lens, shutter, rewind knob/shaft & German metric DOF scale disc, damaged folding strut (will not close)
Retina viewfinder type 126, missing lens/shutter. Opens/closes fine. I have the two-piece brass helicoid parts. The lens/shutter were already given away.

I will pay postage for free cameras to USA destinations. If someone in an earlier time zone contacts me we can figure out shipping & I will pay the portion equal to the US Flat Rate I would pay for US destinations. I use Pirate Ship for postpaid shipping labels because they help find most economical options. Despite the name, they only provide discounted shipping through UPS and USPS. They do not handle the actual package, so have no fear about their name. They are not packed up yet so I don't know size/weight yet. I anticipate alarming shipping cost.

Please don't waste your time or mine ragging on me about the camera conditions. I will not respond to that.

I want someone to benefit from the parts rather than have them simply be discarded.

Thanks

Edit: I have photos but didn't post them (not sure if this will be directed to Classifieds or not). I doubt they will impact your decision.

Paul Barden services these cameras, and might like the parts. I've thought about shipping a box of parts to him, but still like to tinker myself.

As for the question of Classified Ads "For Free Items"- we've always had the Christmas Give-away Threads.
For parts give-aways, I've thought about putting up a thread in the DIY forum.

He didn't want them

Photos look alot alike as thumbnails when selecting them for upload, so I am not telling them apart before upload.

All packed in foam.

I'll take them. I can use the Wind Knob to replace one on my Retina II. The Wind/Counter for the IIa, replace one I sent to Roger Hicks years ago.

Now questions...I bought 4 more Retinss and two Zeiss Ikon cameras.

They are all uncannily clean and some seem to 'work' at all speeds, some only work at 1/30 & up (retard gunked up?).

By clean I mean the lenses look clean and dust-free, but blades are oily. I'd almst think someone did CLA's according to their own rules...got them from a local guy from the former Yugoslavia (don't want to guess...usually offends).

One has foggy RF, but the others don't seem to be.
Retina 1A, 1B, two 3C's (large C but I'd have to recheck).

Then I went online & bought two accessory lenses one incorrect, an R 1:3/32 Vorsatzlinse thst seems to be for a Retina II.

I think 3 (maybe 4) of the Retinas have the removeable front cell, one a littlev hard to free (small latch lever may be deformed). I bought a 4/80 Xeon C? (All have Schneider-Kreuznach glass), tried it on a IIIC & concluded you can trust the RF if it's right or use scale focus on accessory lens after setting RF.

Then I jammed the 50/2.8 front cell reinstalling it. I can see it's not parallel to the mount, and can't beleve I did that. It's neither on nor off.

Questions are implied because I don't know what I'm doing.

Z-I cameras I have to look at again. I think one is a Contessa LBE or similar and the other is a Contaflex with no suffix. SLR with knob winder that brings the mirror up. Focus is split-screen like an RF...kind of neat.

One 1A came with a shoe-mount Telex RF missing 1 cover screw and a Metrophot (2?) Light meter. Most of the camera functions seem functional but for a couple Retina winding levers that work then don't. I'm talking winding without film & pressing shutter. If it stops winding and it is, or is not from counter reaching 0, pressing one or both of the top or bottom recessed wind/rewind buttons seems to restore winding ability...firedrill experimental sequence of steps I can't explain.

WHOA!!! Dimwit post...thought it was a DM/PM, not public, and subject was still there and irrelevant to new camera GAS questions. Sorry...if I figure out how I did this, I'll correct it.

Meanwhile, I am NOT giving away more cameras.
