Im also nearly 100% film, when shooting film i can remember every shot on the roll and why i took the shot with digital its just blast away if its not right shoot some more
I suppose I am pretty weird but I have always thought of my Nikon D5000 with old manual focus lens kit as just a camera with a never ending roll of film....polaroid film I guess you could say...I use it as I would an analog camera. 🙂
Hand me a D5000 on any mode other than M with a Autofocus lens mounted and I am immediately not in my comfort zone anymore...haha
But the one thing I can't stand on my D5K which is what I suspect some part the OP idea was is the viewfinder sucks just like Canon 40D viewfinder would suck too I bet. To get that big viewfinder you need something significantly more expensive when it comes to digital...pro level body. I'm a Nikon guy so I can get a D800 for around 1500 or I can get a F2 for around 200.
