Going out to Kick some serious...

Are you like me?

Are there some days where you can't wait to pick up that Leica, massage it for a long time, slowly drooling, then load your favorite film and then go out shoot and kick some serious bu*t?

When this curious but real sentiment occurs, I know I'll usually get back home with some fantastic shots. Half of it is caused by my love and urge for photography, but the other half is really and only the shear sexy feeling of holding and violently winding that Leica.

Good expression to summarize the feeling. Though sometimes I feel that when I look too much for the great shot, I return empty handed. I guess it is also a lot about your happiness to be in the street and symbiosis with the light/sounds/people atmosphere of where you go out shooting.
For example, last night I took a quick walk to test the Jupiter 9 I had received the same day. I went around the Arch where many portuguese fans were celebrating their team qualifying to second round of Eurocup. many good pictures opportunities. Yet I was plain bad, not a decent shot. I guess it was too much about the gear and not enough about symbiosis with the environment.

I agree with yanidel. Sometimes I get all excited and eager to go shoot a couple of rolls and when I get to the location I just cant get into the zone. Things feel forced and shots dont present themselves as easily. That is extremely frustrating.
