If you haven't already, go to the USPS site and see what they say about scanning shipments.

When you fly, film below 800 ISO is usually considered safe going through carryon scanners. Does the scan impact the film? Of course. Can you see it? No.

On the other hand, the machines that scan checked luggage that travels in the cargo hold are much stronger and will ruin film. I assume -- and hope -- that all cargo is similarly scanned. Note that your shipper, the airport, and the airline may all have distinct scanning policies.

Glass Key in SF is a must.......and you can kill 2 birds with one stone as it's in a record shop selling vinyl.

BTW, does Samy's have bulk Tri-X? I didn't find it on their website. Only Tmax.

I was a Samy's on Fairfax earlier today and they had probably 200 rolls of Tri-X in 35mm.
