Dude, when you popped flash in that 8 year old girls face and she started throwin' haymakers, I was freaking out!

It's too bad you guys missed our walk up 6th street. We came back and looked for you, and walked up Mission to the Federal Building. We never thought to go down to Howard though, so you stumped us there! We strolled down Market through the 'loin-y section and had lunch at the Westfield food court.
.
Ray, we were probably within a couple of blocks of each other the entire time.

Sorry bob, I forgot to ad a smiley. The 8 year old and haymakers do not represent any real persons or flying objects.

Steve and I think a photo stroll in the Haight would be a good future meeting in SF. There is a lot of street action and a great Mexican food place on Haight next to Amoeba Records. What do you think?
Kent-allow me to take out my 1958 chrome SP before I dare take out the black SP2005, what with the possibility of 8 year olds throwing haymakers...

Again, I'm sorry, guys. In particular not to be able to meet Steve and Bob, and demonstrate the quick spool drop .... Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Both Devon and me have a really heavy flu at the moment, cann't even go out tonight
I hope we'll have a beer + gear in the new year, when Robert and Carl are back.
Cheers,
Roland.

Hahahaha ... nice one Mike! Yeah, I'm just the terror of anyone under 4 foot 6! ;-)
nice shots, btw ... i like the atmosphere / fog on the ferry clock tower and the construction de-construction: that curve of boards going down is very nice
having never been inside the Westfield, i had to take a few of the central architecture inside (both of these with the Ricoh GR1v)

A couple of snapshots from the Standard with 28mm on Trix. I didn't get to the other rolls since I had to process this one with a couple rolls from my 5-year-old nieces Nutcracker performance. Ouch.

Mike L.-was that "Steampunk" with the Canon 28 attached?
Unfortunately, Steampunk still had 100 film in it, so I used the Canon 28 with the Standard instead. Sorry to disappoint! I'll bring Steampunk to the next beer-meet.
Nice Kevin, I didn't even think to look up. I like the framing on both.
Happy New Year all. I'm going to hit Union Square, climb the lamp posts, and drink peppermint schnapps. (Bob338, totally joking here

Steve,
The Meteron Center photograph is excellent. The shadow edge line in the left center just grazes the corner of the building seen in the reflection-excellent!

Guys,
Here are a few from our walkabout last month with the Nikon SP. Drug store scan with some quick, and I mean quick, adjustments in Lightroom. I have to break out the Nikon 5000 to do some proper scans.
Fun stuff, I enjoyed the day!

Oh wow! I didn't see all this activity over the last week. Great shots all. I like the mirror shot too, Steve.
Kent, so that's is Ektar 100! I ordered some earlier in the week. Now I'm really looking forward to it!

Kevin, are we still on for our "plan" regarding the Museum's architecture shots.
Everyone got a shot, right?

Fantastic shots, guys. Ray -- Your work continues to amaze me. I've commented over at flickr. Kent -- Love that fountain shot! And I've got to try the film, too. Here's my take on the same fountain:
And a couple more:
We need to do another shoot again soon. And we need to have you guys up here... to the REAL fog city!

great photos!
great photos!
I'll have to try this Ektar 100 sometime!
I like the "Urban Cowboy" photo, with what appears to be in the background a possible country band on the sight. Crazy Horse, great rock and roll band!

The ektar was a pleasant surprise. I shot it in my G2 as well and liked the results. It seems to have the punch of 100UC with tighter grain.

Hey all, a few more snapshots from me with the 28.
Also, Aaron is coming to town, so we'll have to be on 'better' behavior in February. Can some of you go easy on the sauce for a least a few days when he's in town?
