It's come to that.. I can't have 2 M bodies - just can't.

I have the LTM IIIc which I adore.
It gets used quite a bit.

The M2 has never left my hands since I got it.
Doug Reilly's venerable and CLA'd M3 now sits languishing on my shelf 🙁

I don't know how you guys with more than 2 bodies do it.. honest 😀

Dave

Keep them. Dave. I remember your struggle to get the camera, and the agony it was to wait it come from TX. Just make sure to use them every so often.

I speak from experience (3 bodies, six lenses)... 🙂

Dave, if you just want to see what your shelves would look like without the M bodies, I can keep them for you until you want them back... seriously..

I think pretty soon we'll all need to hit the reset button and sell off our gear.. that way we'll have something to do for the next 18 months.. buy it all back

I bought an M3 maybe a year ago which was a late number that had been overhauled by DAG just before I bought it. I had always wanted an M3 just for the history behind it. What I found was that I disliked dealing with trying to use a 35mm lens on it, and also that due to me wearing glasses I couldn't see enough outside the framelines to compose the 50mm at longer distances. I have not regretted selling it at all.

Don't worry guys.. there are plans in the works.. I will still need an M Body.. just that I couldn't hold onto an M3, M2 and another M...

Dave

it sounds to me like the M-2 and M-3 didn't capture your fancy

sell them and try something else

why? because they're fine instruments and deserve to be used and because you, dave, deserve a camera that makes the earth move for you

<------------ has aversion to stuff lying around unused esp camera gear

I like this idea; but where's the button? 🙂

Dave, keep one of the bodies. M2, preferably. That way, when you have the Zeiss Ikon for a while and decide that you don't need the M2 anymore, I can buy it from you around...oh...March. 😉

selling

selling

it is a hard thing having more than one m-body, so many choices. guilt for using one or two and ignoring the rest. but it is also hard to consider parting with them. i was going to sell my m6 but when i told my wife, she wouldn't let me sell it. so i had dag cla and upgrade the vf, now its good for another 20+ years... i've decided that my cameras will get passed down to family members when/if they become interested in making pictures.

I think everyone here should sell everything and we'll all buy Holgas instead

What?

😀
