Gold Bessa R

Eeewww yuck - that's the ugliest Bessa I have ever seen.
Gold is just a sign of bad taste, no matter whether it is on cameras, watches, cars, what have you - stainless steel - yes, chrome - OK, titanium - cool, black - great! But gold? That's just for 'nouveau riche' wannabees, not for refined tastes... 😉

Personaly I would like to see a green colour.. Like the Olive Bessa R2 with chrome bits. Love it 🙂

But plastic? Are the Bessa's top/bottom plates actually plastic?

I'm sure that Canon has metal plates.

Bessa R has plastic top and bottoms and the back is a plastic door. From the R2 onwards its metal tops and bottoms 🙂

How about a hammertoned Bessa R? I like that look on the Leicas I've seen, can't afford one, but a gray, or grey if you prefer, with black would be striking.
