Good camera store in New Orleans?

Hello all, I am going to be in New Orleans for a week in June, and I was wondering if there was a good camera store somewhere in walking distance of the Garden District/French Quarter, in case I run out of film. Recommendations?

Moldaner's over on the other side of Tulane. Other than that there are a few chain stores and drug stores where you should be able to get film near the French Quarter. I'd wander over to the Marigny and ask one of the hip kids in a bar or coffee shop where they get their film locally.
Man, I miss that town.

Two stores from which I buy film when I'm in the area are Bennett's Camera and Lakeside Camera. Both are located off of Severn Avenue in Metairie. They're not in walking distance of the French Quarter. But if you want something like Kodak Portra 160 or medium format film, you probably won't find it in the French Quarter.

These two stores about 8 miles from the French Quarter. You could possibly call them and ask them to mail it to you. You could also take ride out there if you have a rental car or are willing to spend some money on a taxi. They have a good shopping center and some great restaurants nearby. You could take a taxi out there, get your film, walk across the street to Lakeside Mall and do some general shopping. Then eat at Andrea's restaurant across the street, on the other side of the shopping mall--excellent place for dinner. Then take a cab back.

Forget the camera stores. Go to A Gallery on Chartres St. in the Quarter and buy an original Ansel Adams, HCB, Diane Arbus or most other photographers who may float your boat. If your pockets are not deep enough to actually buy then Edward, the manager, is friendly to those of us who come to just look. So is Josh Mann Paliet, the owner and a significant photographer himself. A Gallery also has an incredible selection of photo books.

Tip: skip partying with the tourists in the French Quarter. Go a few blocks away to Frenchman St. in the [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Faubourg Marigny where the locals go.
