Doug2 that sounds like an interesting lens! With an f/8 max aperture it probably doesn't even need a focusing helix, having DoF from here to there anyway? What about a finder?

You are absolutely correct regarding the DOF and the focus adjustment is not coupled to the RF (I may have to include a disclaimer if I submit any shots taken with it to the gallery).
As for the viewfinder: lost one on eBay that went for more than $200 (+-$125.00 was expected) -- I posted on another thread that it seems as though there has been an increase in the cost of Contax gear lately...just have to keep watching to know for sure.
