Good lens hood for Olympus 17mm f1.7?

This is such a nice lens. Not really cheap, but good.

For Olympus, 'not really cheap' does not even include a lens hood. It costs extra, and the price is just obscene.

Some people purchased a chinese JJC clone, but many are unsatisfied because the hood tends to fall off the lens. Too bad for an el-cheapo hood that sells for $30-50. :bang:

Are there any good alternatives?

I got one off ebay a good screw mount metal type which is working fine for me.

I don't have the lens anymore, but I also had the metal JJC replacement and was very satisfied. It never did fall off my lens.

E-bay seller 'heavystar' has a 46mm metal screw in hood with front lens cap for wide lenses for about $13 shipped. I have several of their hoods with no problems at all. Very nice construction.

I have the JJC replacement hood and if anything its hard to get off the lens. Very happy with it
