I tried developing my own 35mm , scanning it and printing it at home, but its way too much hassle. I got a good develope and printer on Bridge Road in Richmond to do contact print first then I selected the prints with basic dodging and burning instructions, each hand print being $3 (usually 3.50 but I had a lot from the last year). This suits my workflow.
However the guy does not do MF. I usually get them done in LAB X in St. Kilda, where its $50 for 12 8 * 8. If I go down the contact and manual print route it is $15 per print, which is a bit much. Does any know anyone who hand prints MF in Melbourne at a reasonable price? Also what are Blanco Negro in Sydney like to deal with?

Have you tried Vanbar in Carlton? I haven't used them (and don't shoot medium format) but I've heard good things about them.
