Does anyone remember what Ferrania _used_ to make, since they are planning to take over the hardware from the old factory? I'm mostly interested in B&W these days, so I would welcome a new paper source and maybe some new film (provided it has consistent quality and doesn't curl like crazy...)

In recent years they made CN film. Some years earlier, slide as well, but I haven't seen Ferrari or 3M labelled black and white film for ages. They were a major player in document, process and x-ray film, so they know or once knew how to make black and white materials...
But I rather suspect they intend to capitalise on their colour competence - with Kodak out of slide, Fuji almost out of CN, Gevaert only making a tech colour film and all of them on the retreat rather than expanding, there are better opportunities in colour.
