Hi,

I have been offered an Bessa R2A, 25mm/4 Skopar, 35mm/1.7 Ultron, 50mm/2.5 Color Skopar for 1300$? This camera is mint. The lenses are mint. This camera has never been used. The lens have never been out of the boxes, except to be examined. The kit comes with boxes, original manuals, front and back caps.

I am curious to get opinions on the price. I never ask this type of question because I have pretty good idea what cameras cost, but these are such good shape I wonder whether I am getting a great deal or an okay deal? I have checked Ebay, but just do not feel like I getting the whole picture.

I am very interested because the Bessa R2A has a meter, screw mount and the entire package weighs, or seems, less than my Canon T70 and 50mm f3.5 Macro lens. The weight is unbelievable!

Any advice or opinion will be gratefully appreciated.

Mike

By the way, the R2A is an M-mount camera, not LTM. The range of lenses that will fit on it is truly breathtaking. And if the 25mm is the Snapshot-Skopar - well, couple that with some Tri-X rated at EL800, or Neopan 1600, and you have one of the fastest-handling walkabout combinations out there.

For new price comparisons you might check the CameraQuest site.
He is the U.S. distributor (and the owner of this forum.)
That would give you the details on each of the items... and,
yes, they are good, and it does sound like a decent price.

Hi Guys,

I should have mentioned I checked cameraquest. The 25/4 snapshot
-skopar and 35/1.7 are discontinued and no prices are offered. The 50/2 is also discontinued and in stock, but alas no price.

honestly, i think the price is just OK. it's neither a very good deal, nor is it overpriced.

Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to pass. Why? The seller insists that the camera and lenses are a package deal. He will not separate it. I do not want the 25mm and viewfinder. I am not an ultra-wide fan. I would be happy with the 35mm and 50mm only. It is the seller`s camera, so he wins.

Thanks again.

Mike
