Hi guys,

I recently moved to Nova Scotia (Dartmouth/E. Passage) and am chemical-less. Any fellow eastern RFF'ers know of a place in the Halifax area to buy some developer/fixer/etc? Hoping to not have to place a Freestyle order and wait a week or two- I'm impatient and have a ton of trip to film to deal with :D

Carsand Mosher on Barrington St. used to sell developing chemicals but it's closed. Not sure about the Bayers Lake location. You could also try Atlantic Photo Supply on Spring Garden Road.

Since you're in the Passage, I'd cally Henry's first. Like you say, it's less than ten minutes away by car.

A long shot might be the NSCAD bookstore. It's where students, and anyone else for that matter, can pick up film and photo-paper, and other art supplies.

They haven't historically sold chemistry, but I was surprised when I saw a couple of bottles of Ilford Multigrade developer there. Maybe they are considering providing some chemisty in the future.

I don't think any of the main places (Carsand-Mosher, Atlantic, Henry's) sell the stuff anymore, unless you want to order it.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the tips... Checked the Henrys at D.Crossing, and they don't stock any chemicals. I Haven't had a chance to go across the bridge and check out Atlantic Photo Supply... Thinking I may just bite the bullet and wait for Freestyle.
Sigh. I finally move to a place that has everything... Except developer ;-)
