I haven't seen it for under $50 in at least 3 years. It's never been a cheapo film. But that's still under 3 bucks a roll. Same for the Ilford films. About $50 for FP4 and HP5, and about $55 for Delta. Bear in mind that this is more or less apace with inflation. I paid a similar amount for Tri-X and HP5 (in constant dollars) 20 years ago as I do today.
I think a lot of us have been spoiled by the Freestyle house brand stuff but that's not what film is "supposed" to cost. :-/
