Alright, So I've got a nice little TTL setup for my Nikon Systems, but I've been looking for a little flash setup to use w/ my M2. Obviously I'll be needing something automatic as there is no TTL metering, so I'll need something that autoexposes the flash given the F stop.

I Dont want to spend a terrible amount of money ($0-100) would be great! so what are my options on a good dependable flash unit? (swivel and bounce capabilities would be nice. Zoom not necessary, as I only shoot 50mm w/ my M.

Thanks in advance for your help! -Nick

Try a Sunpak Auto 383. It has bounce/swivel, 3 auto ranges plus full power, can be used with either batteries or power pack and has a guide number of somewhere around 120. Less than $100 at the catalogue stores. Another excellent one is the Vivitar 285 which has similar stats.

Took the words right off my fingers! I have a 383 and it's great. I bought it ages ago for my Canon SLR. I have used it lately with the M5 & 28-35-50-90 & 135 lenses. I also use LumiQuest attachments and like them a LOT!

Actually, the 383 has 3 auto ranges and you can vary the power in each range. Very good control for a variety of f-stops, film speed, aperture, etc.

Example: ASA 100 film, F:2.0, auto exposure from 2 feet to 15 feet.
