Anybody else on Tumblr? I'm still looking for the best way to share my art and establish an online portfolio that is accessible to a wide audience of non photographers. So far I use instagram (great for mobile devices, bad for computers) and Flickr (obviously mainly used by photographers).

Anyway. If you are on Tumblr post a link to yours.

Here's mine: http://kingofkodak.tumblr.com/

I like that the layout is clean. I can just have a white background for the pictures. I'm not sure about the endless scrolling feature, but so far I'm happy with it.

How do you go about copywriting your photos? Totally new to all of this, I've only taken pictures for a year. I added my name as you suggested. I was on the fence about that.

Thank you for following my work! I just picked up a Rolleiwide, so I'm very interested in yours as well.

Cheers,

Jon

Did you get that Red Skelton Rolleiwide?

I put © (option g) Name 2016 on each photo in lower corner.

Of course it's best to register with copyright office -- about $35 -- but you can register a ton of shots at one time. However, if you don't put a copyright, then it might at some time be considered an orphaned work. And some might try to use it on an ad or editorial -- and then the shot of the two people smoking could be given a caption of their choosing that might be offensive to you and the people in the photo. So, from my point of view, placing your copyright on your work protects you and the people in your photos.

It's also important to put your copyright on metadata -- however many social media sites deliberately strip your metadata.

There's street work on my tumblr, but I think of it more as a visual journal or place for ongoing stuff that I find interesting and that helps keep me engaged in shooting.

Thanks for posting, enjoyed your pics and it looks nice layout wise.

Very cool stuff guys. I especially like seeing other peoples' color work... I shoot mostly black and white and enjoy the temptation of color. Oh the possibilities.

Cheers and keep shooting everyone!

And for the newcomers to this thread. Post your tumblr and give a brief description of what you shoot (or why, if you prefer).
