good things come in pairs

I have two GSN's...
I have two canonet ql17 gIII's (theoretically, at least).
I had two tlr's, here's the proof attached.
The thing that comes really handy though, is that I have two eyes. Fully functional without any CLA in the last 28 years.

Hey - saturday evening/night I was also sittiung at home. Not that much sitting though. For a few days it's a reasonable weather so I had 7-8 friends coming over, we had a big fat barbecue. Roasted at least 3 kg's of meat. Finished half dozen bottles of wine, some beer too. Had really good fun.
The neighbors were drooling.

It's Saturday night, and the camera geeks are sitting at their computers. Kinda sad, but at least we have each other.

Anyone heard from Russ lately? 😉

Frank

If that's the best that you can do in "pairs" thinking, you must be older than me. 😀 I have the new, high powered puter up & running, so perhaps I'll be around more often. Im touched, someone actually noticed that I was gone 🙂

Hey, you want to meet at the Bingo hall tonight? I'll drive, but we have to stop at Bi-Mart for some Depends and denture cream. I'm getting low.....

An ugly turn 😡 Hey! My new puter has a wickedly fast DVD and CD copier and burner. You want me to burn some Rock-N-Roll CD's for you? What's your musical preferences? Dixie Dregs, Les Dudek, Zep?

Barry Manilow 🙁

Saturday night at home? What the heck is that? I spent last night working, then after feeding a bunch of folks instead of relaxing with a quiet beer and my friend Jose, I got to listen to apair of parents explain to me how lucky I was to be the servant to their college kids while they(the kids--about a hundred and fifty of them) drank way too much, broke beer mugs and puked in the bathrooms. I am fairly mellow but please don't condescend to me. :bang: Oh, and I caught two of 'em(the kids) peeing outside under the fire escape--it was too far to walk from the bar area to the bathrooms they said. Geography wasn't their strong suit I guess, the fire escape is on the back of the building on the farthest corner away from the front door. Yee Ha! Not a usual Saturday night at work but there was a Lacross tournament and apparently that gave the kids and parents license to be idiots. Some day I get to retire.
A Saturday night sitting at home listening to my music and hanging out with you fine folks--what's not to like?
Best, Rob

Oh yeah! but it's Sunday now and I don't have to do any thing for any body but myself.
Which will be getting out into the freezing rain and seeing if there are any pictures I want to take. Much more relaxing.
Rob

Sunny weather for the next couple of days forecast. Maybe the goldurn snow will finally take leave and amscray. With 4 new (to me anyway) SLR's (sorry) and oodles and kaboodles of Polaroid 200 (hey, it was cheap) guess it's time to catch up on a few photo projects. Ok, Ok, I'll run some film through the Zorki C, Zorki 4K, and Neoca Robin too.
P.S. we have enough snow already Joe, so feel free to take all you'd like before sending any our way.

2 Leica M bodies, 2 Rollei TLR's, 2 FED2's, and not pictured: 2 MF RF's, 2 MF SLR's, and until recently, 2 Bessa R's. Good things DO come in pairs! (N)

(Is this a little too off?
Feel free to X this, Joe, if it is.)

Frank,
to avoid getting really off now it would be nice if you contact me off gallery for a recommendation, would like to have two TLRs too , I am looking for a nice Cord and the question is Xenotar or Triotar or better Rolleiflex etc etc..

Thanks in advance !

Bertram... I know you asked Frank, but... Rolleicords are fine if you can live with separate (knob) film wind/shutter cock. And they have the Xenar lens, not Xenotar. Xenotar is the expensive version found on the later Rolleiflexes, about the same as Planar.
The best value for money is nowadays a postwar 'flex automat with a tessar, or a 'cord with xenar, most important being to have them in good shape.

Triotar lenses are low-end triplets, they are good for portraits where lens aberrations are acceptable, but they kill the point of having a medium format camera.
