Hi guys half year ago i found this little camera Balda CE35A (A is the robust version of CE35) and shot a few rolls through it. I really liked the outcomes and the lens quality was impressing (better than XA IMO). However, it seems that it has rarely raised any attention. The handling is great and the reaction is fast, plush Manual ISO and robust material, in addition to the fact that it does not use the died-out 1.35v mercury battery but only 2 normal watch battery. This camera was somewhat famous in the Chinese-language film photography world ('coz most of them were assembled in Wuhan, China during the late 80's and early 90's) but not quite popular in the English world. i really think this camera has been overlooked.

Hey, nice job with the Balda (many thanks for the link). I got this in trade for something. What was it? Here's how I got it. A guy sent me a Baby Rollei and a bag of parts, and I reassembled it for him and didn't have any left over parts, which even I thought was pretty amazing.
My own little Balda was made in West Germany (before the fall of the Berlin Wall).
Like you, I think it's an excellent little pocket camera.

Wow, if u did it without any factory manuals and instructions, u did a really genius job !! How did it look like, as i recall there was several variations, and there was even one that was transparent.
And yes, it is so pocketable.
