I shot my first roll of K10 in 1953; the slides haven't faded or color-shifted in 57 years.
This is my last roll of K64.
My Leica A.
Waiting for Christmas Day.
Then to Dwayne's.
To be processed in the last batch
on 12/30/2010.

Kodachrome rocks on in our memory (and slide album).
My daughter (barely graduated from toddler-hood) has Kodachrome frames of her. Not many of her peers would be able to claim so.

As the most archivally stable colour slide film ever invented, it's a real loss. All colour material shift over the years, but in dark storage kodachrome can last hundreds of years (think of the historical value of images created on kodachrome!).

I sent my last rolls last week.
Very saddened about this.
I still have about four rolls that look at me from the shelf.
I am thinking of shooting one of them on January 1st, as a protest.
Virtual images that will never be processed...

I am sure it will change Kodak's decision 😱

Interesting. I have never seen any difference between Kodachrome and Fuji Sensia.

I miss Kodachrome for home movies more than still photography, but it really is the end of an era....🙁

My last processed roll of Kodachrome 64 delivered today.
I used my Olympus OM-1n, Zuiko AUTO-W 21mm f/3.5 and Zuiko AUTO-W 35mm f/2.0 for the exposures made at locations in Helsinki and Turku 2010-05-22 - 2010-07-18.

A very very sad time, although I leaned towards Fuji, (I liked its renditioning of green), I used to shoot good old Kodak when my subject needed a warmer rendtion. Its a sad time indeed
