Good luck. I looked into moving to the Boston area from Northern Jersey/NYC in early 1990s. I think Boston was the most expensive city in the country at that time. Nothing ever worked out though. If you're young enough it should be fun for you.

Try looking at www.craigslist.org under apartments to rent. You probably picked one of maybe three or four places more expensive to live than New Jersey. Good luck!
