Goodbye, oh cruel life!

Due to unpredictable circumstances I'm in a hard spot now, and have to do some tough decisioning.

I have to move out from the place I live and start new life in rented flat with my fiancee. Being without job and having very limited finances we are now counting every penny to realize this and make life livable.

So we have to sell some things, as the only solution, to start off until I find a job.
I decided among other things to sell a gift (so wrong), a wonderful gift you people gave me! Beautiful Bessa kit (my most valuable possession) that practically launched me in photography opening my mind and helping me to capture life around me!

Once again in another way and some other dimension you are helping me! ...and I'm grateful again!

With this I probably disappointed my patrons, and I'm sorry!
...but I don't see any other solution for my problems and I'm unsure when I will be able to return to this point.

I put her in local classifieds and I'm now waiting, having doubts that there will be someone in Croatia interested in her.

Once again big thanks and bigger sorry!

Hmmmm, maybe there are not so many tourists around Split right now - but selling arty prints of your town might not be a totally crazy idea ????

Also, there may be a better price for the camera, even allowing for postage, if you advertise further afield . . .

See? I would love to see people put their photos up for sale in the classifieds! Much rather spend money on that, than on another GAS-induced lens purchase 🙂

WOW 😀 Could we? I think is a *great* idea... 25 to 50 bucks.. I'd love to buy and sell pictures..

It hurts when you have to sell a camera... If you were in Chile, I would like to "rent" it to you...

I've never being a fan of selling my photos, but in this case I also think it's a good idea. There are also sites wish sell your photos for you (I don't know wish one is 100% trustworthy, so I can't give any specific advice) and pay trough paypal.

If you have a bank account *and* a Paypal account, that's easy, just receive using Paypal and move them in your bank account..

How about Amazon etc shipping to you ? Maybe a sort of bartering in return for prints ?!

I suspect renting speedboats to ship items across the Adriatic might be frowned upon though . . .
 
The camera is a tool that could be used to make money. If you sell the tool you get a little money and lose the possibility of making money with it. Is there any chance you could make money by taking pictures for people where you are? Portraits, weddings, pets, babies, etc.?

Your Bessa kit is not the end of your life, is the beginning... sometimes the moment of our life brings some chalenges.
If you take this now like something that just happened to your life to make it better, you will see that some day your are going to have again a new Bessa kit, because you have with you the most important thing that even you can not forget... your photographer soul.

In the last 2 months I bought and sold two digital point and shoots plus my olympus film epic. Getting rid of the digitals was easy for me they just didnt do it for me for some reason, but selling the olympus was very difficult, That camera gave me a lot of pictures of good memories, I was very upset after I sold it so I bought another one, and now I feel better. Cameras are just plastic and metal but I can understand how someone can get attached to there camera.
