Goodbye, oh cruel life!

Ned in my eyes that would be wronger than this.
Most of us here are good people and I hope sincere... I was gifted with Bessa from them in pure altruism.

I don't need or won't to explain the moment of life I'm now in.

Thinking in money... that amount should be enough to pay us small flat for two months... looking from other point of a man without that existential problem, that amount is small and negligible. But to me is foundation for something, and security for enough time to come out with other ways to continue.

This sounds critical, but you are young, well educated and intelligent (the latter I take from the way you express yourself in a foreign language). Croatia is in the middle of surrounding booming European economies. Instead of wasting time with us in this forum, how about being "out there" an looking for a job. I would expect you to be pretty competitive in a job market, especially also in a potentially depressed local Croatian market.

Near drowning in self pitty does not get you a job.

🙁

Perhaps somewhat critical if you do not know the full circumstances?

Sorry retow but I'm not reading any self pitty in my posts!?

It's very easy to pass judgment, but I'm not here to be judged! ...just to be sincere and honest!

So I would be grateful if others could restrain them self from judging.

I will pursue photography with any means that I will have in future.

You have my sympathy Nikola.

I believe you decided so for a reason.

Before some time our fellow RFF-er Max (darkkavenger) had some financial problems, and he had to sell most of his Contax equipment. I felt sorry for him.

But after all - cameras are just things. If the money will help you start again, then do it!

We've all been there. People are more important than possessions, and a roof over your head is too. You'll find a way back, and it'll all just seem a blip when you look back in the future.

I'm sure we in this RFF community can find all sorts of ways to assist you too.

Regards

Andy

Hi Nikola,

I'm sorry to hear of your current difficulties (I remember how excited you were to get that camera). But you're young, you'll have plenty of new opportunities in your future, and I'm sure you're doing what is best at the moment. (And I think it is very honorable for you to tell everyone here what's happening rather than just quietly selling it).

Best regards,

some ideas for you nikola - maybe you can make websites while you are looking for job. i think both serbia and croatia are good places for that. there are many companies here without websites. you could try and offer that to boutiques and caffes for example.

If it was me, I would keep the Bessa sale a secret in respect to S. Gandy et Al.

Way off base here, IMO. It is out of respect, and with great strength of character, that Nicola has made this post.

Sitemistic, I'm currently writing my master thesis in Physics of human networks.

Nzee, the most ideal job can't solve need for instant cash and solutions in given time. After I cross this river everything should be smooth.

good luck, Nikola!

maybe I did not saw this question within this thread - but how much will bring your equipment or parts of it and how much the money for it will help you?

I spent better part of the day looking for flat, and I'm feeling tired and mentally shattered.

Maximum rent for one month that we set is 250€ per month, and for that amount you can expect to have one room apartment or small flat with one separate room both in the town outskirts. It's sad to see the state in which are some flats.

This isn't small amount by itself... and there are other problems... In Split every real state in the market is under agency's (it's impossible to bypass them)... and agency's are asking for one amount of monthly payment set by landlord. There is also problem that regularly better places are asking two month amount as first payment. So we are now at 750€ just to start, not thinking about all other things that new place will require.

That amount is collected from different sources and resources, there isn't just Bessa in tha game.

This sounds cruel, and like I am taking advantage, but how much are you selling the Bessa for?

I understand being in a financial hot spot, after I had some bad news a few years back I was put into a critical financial situation which I am just starting to work out of.

Hey, I'm sure we all have a ton of gear we don't use that we could ship over so you can continue to shoot, if you still want to of course?

And as for that qualification, get yourself to the UK and get a job in mobile gaming and serious games - big money and plenty of job opportunities.

do what you have to do to survive.
cameras can be bought in the future when you are doing well.
on a lighter side, the title of your thread reminds me of a James Darren hit song from 1961.
you can find it on Youtube.

Nikola.
right now you needs to survive, realistically how many prints can you sell ?. sell the camera and keep on trucking don't give up ,we all have been there one time or another, and we are still here, good luck.
