Ah, the anticipation... you've won something on eBay or ordered something ... but you don't know when it will arrive...

Today the postal service delivered my package from Stephen Gandy. A lovely new 75mm lens for the Bessa R2 and an M-mount adapter. And a trigger winder...

One additional doodad I ordered at the same time was a CV lens shade in 40.5 thread for my Jupiter-8. It fits great and looks great on the Jupiter. It's a smallish metal hood with a cap. I'll post a pic of it later.

It's gonna be a busy weekend ... 😀

Enjoy the toys, Gene! I'm looking forward to seeing your first results done with the 75mm. I'm somewhat sure this will be in the package on that fine day (hopefully this year still) when the postman delivers this tempting R?A to me. I'm thinking of a 40 and 75 combo - this will make a light, very versatile set, with less lens decisions required than with a 3-piece set.

This 75mm gets cracking reports everywhere, it seems to be a really good lens. I have to say I'm tempted too but I already have a fairly good 90 and I think I need that focal length for the immediate future.

Gerold, Peter, thanks! Gerold, I have the same idea. I already own a 40mm so I was thinking the 40/70 combo would make a very light, nice travelling combo.

well i'm hoping SOMETHING shows in the mail tomorrow.
the yellow filter for the canon has whet my appetite for the other filters to show but also for the 100 serenar plus the shade and filters for it.
i have tomorrow off so it would be nice to have for the weekend.

oh well, i hope you guys enjoy your new stuff and gene, as usual, we expect pics.

Thanks Todd. As Joe said in another thread, it's short for a tele and fits the Bessa really nicely. Good balance. Now we'll see if my eyesight is any good at focusing f/2.5 images 🙄
