Gorki-4K Shutter Speed Dial number worn off

Hi, I recently obtained a refurbished Gorki-4K from Ukraine. Supposedly overhauled. But....... the shutter speed dial is worn out and cannot make out the numbers. Unlike the Gorki-4, where the shutter numbers are stamped into the metal dial, the 4K dial numbers are imprinted and worn off. I guess 50+ years of age will do this.

There are some bodies for sale on ebay and I considered a swap if I can get a good dial. Is there a manual or parts diagram on how to disassemble the knob from the camera body?

Actually, if anyone knows if the -4 speed dial (with stamped numbers) is the same as the -4K dial, it would be very helpful. I'd much prefer to use such -4 dial as it is 'permanent' and won't wear out.

A swap is simple. There are 3(?) tiny screws that hold the dial, no need to disassemble anything. All you need is a good, tiny screwdriver.

The 4k and later 4 has 2 logarithmic shutter speeds (silk screened) and the earlier 4 has the old, but engraved, speeds. If I were you, I could live with eg 1/100 of a second instead of 1/125.

Thanks very much. From my reading it seemed the two shutter speed dials (-4 and -4K) were interchangeable. Given that, I'd prefer the -4 dial as it is stamped into the metal vs silk screened numbers as it is on the -4K.

I seem to remember seeing some print-at-home labels designed to go onto the Zorki 4K shutter speed dial many, many years ago. I'd go that route first, personally.

But yes, it is an incredibly easy swap. Just make sure you have a good screwdriver - the heads on the grub screws are incredibly soft and will be ruined if your screwdriver blade doesn't fit properly - and don't remove the grub screws completely or you'll never get them back in. You only need to back them off a bit and the dial lifts straight off.

Keep in mind that there are two variants of dials in the Zorki 4 series - the silk screened and engraved. I‘m not talking about the 4k…
