Gossen Luna Pro F help please!

I just got this today at one of my flea markets for all of $3 with a dead battery.
New battery in now but have no clue how to use the flash meter part and not
too sure about the ambient part. Where does the oouter ring (black one that
spins go during flash or ambient readings? I see there is a red spot that can be covered by a black part of the ring, so where should it be set?
