where can I get my Luna-Pro meter repaired? It constantly gives at least two stops of underexposure. I have done the calibration process as outlined in the manual and that does not help. the meter is about three years old and is out of warranty.

the meter uses mercury batteries and modern alkalaine and silver will give misreadings.Gossen makes recalibration\adapter that cost as much as the meter used.Oleg Khalyavin fixed mine(changed the circuitry) for redicolous money in no time and good enough for slides.

good luck

Unfortunately, the Luna Pro and Luna Pro S were built with mercury batteries. The more recent S models were sold with the SR44 adapters. For my Lunasix 3S (european version of the S) I picked up the Gossen battery adapter kit at Adorama ($38, if you can believe it) and it is now running on the SR44's. For any repair/calibration, I would very definitely send it to Quality Light-Metric in Hollywood (213-467-2265). They repaired and recalibrated mine for around $80 and it now is just like new. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your reply. This meter came new with the 1.55v SR44 batteries. They check good. The meter was working fine until about six months ago. I have gone through the calibration and it is calibrated correctly according to the owners manual. Any other ideas???

I would definitely give Quality Light-Metric a call. They were not only inexpensive, but also incredibly quick. From Seattle, it took less then two weeks. They can probably give you a clue over the phone.
