place a wtb ad here and at photo.net (no charge) and you might get one.

if you do find one you will need someone with a drill press or a hand drill and lots of time/patience to make a hole for your finger to get at the film release button.

so, more than a year since this thread was started and i have finally just today got my official zi grip.
the nice composite one with 'carl zeiss' printed on the side😉

there is definately a family resemblance to the cv grip.
it will take a while to compare this rounded grip to my usual angular grip, so far the old one is winning.
i like that it's lighter and shorter as it is not as close to the rewind crank.
the old grip supports the camera while i hold the camera with just my finger tips. the zi grip is too round for this little trick.
it looks good and feels sturdy though.
time will tell more...

i like the zi grip.
it's a bit smaller than the photoequip grip and lighter also. i had to 'grip' it a bit differently but i got used to it pretty quick. i think i like the old one better but the new one lets me hold on longer in the cold and that's very important around this time of year.
and i am embarrased to admit i like the 'carl zeiss' printed on the back of it.

either grip is well worth it, especially if you use a wrist strap.
