Nice one Joerg! 😉 Congrats on the grip. I got a TA grip after trying rover's on the summer RFF meet and love it. It works really well with the heavy 90/2. 🙂Joerg said:

The CZ grip is a ubiquitous fixture on my ZI so far.
Indeed, the camera would feel strange to me without it.
The ZI has largely displaced the Leica M2 in my small travel kit. I doubt it would if not for the grip, but then I didn't take to the Leica until I got a grip for it either. Whether or not it stays will probably depend on the ZI's durablity or how often I need a self-timer.

i sometimes take the grip off my camera to see if i like the feel and lighter weight but it always seems to get back on pretty quick. i think a grip and wrist strap are made for each other.
i might try no grip with the longer luigi strap as i have less need to hold the camera when not actually shooting.
the long strap has made a difference in my winter shooting with less need to hold the metal camera.

interesting that you mention a wrist strap. Incidentally i use a gordy strap with all my RF cameras and my lightmeter. That might explain my preference for the grip.

i love a wrist strap and have begun to feel a bit guilty that i am liking the longer strap i am now using on one of my zi bodies.
but for when i want to go out shooting 'lite' without a bag, just a camera and lens the long strap is very nice.

I never felt comfortable witha longer strap, just do not know what to do with it. even on my SLR I wrap it as a wrist strap.....

mine are the photoequip grips, i had a hole drilled on the bottom plate so i could access the film release button.
and another admission, today on the silver zi, i took the grip off as i have the longer strap on it...there isn't the same need for a grip and it was a very nice experience shooting at the market.

I have tried to find that Photoequip grip of yours but i only found it at ebay and they do not ship to Spain. Any suggestion where to find one (black)?
I prefer it than the zeiss one (i don't like leather simil pattern of the grip... just find it out of place... -excuse me, i'm an architect and i get mad with the most stupid things...-).
