my daughter got it for $24. she says it surely LOOKS in good clean shape; with a case that she says is in good shape. i figure that is on the upper edge for price. still, only $24. 45mm/f3.5 lens. she says the viewfinder is big and very bright, and the rangefinder patch is moving properly upon focus. shutter fires, too.
i won't be able to look at for a while. it's in florida.
anybody else got one?

I've got a 35A viewfinder version, but I think it's contruction is quite different from the Century 35. It's got a funky double-stroke bottom winder, and a 300 speed shutter, with conventional focusing. But I believe it too was made by Kowa.

I had one a long time ago that I got at a goodwill for a couple bucks, but it was non-functional. Very pretty camera but apparently they're prone to getting the shutter/film advance interlock out of whack which was the problem with mine.

The Graflex Century 35A is the same as the KOWA 35A. Neither have coupled rangefinders. The Graflex 35 is the model with the coupled rangefinder.

well, it says century, and it has a moving rangefinder patch. wish i could find someone who who could clean it and get the shutter/aperture working properly again for less than a small fortune ...

Butkus has a collection of manuals in PDF that will help sort out which model it is. It seems that the "plain" Graflex Century 35 had a RF along with the later 35ne and the earlier Graflex 35. The 35a didn't.
