Joe, please post some photos taken with this lens when you have the opportunity. I like collapsible lenses a lot because, as you note, they make for a pocketable RF. However, the 50/1.9 has a kinda lousy reputation, and that is one of the reasons that I have never purchased one. I have even considered buying a (ewww, ugh, gak...) leica collapsable summicron because I miss the compact camera options with Canon bodies that the collapsable Zeiss lenses afford with Contax cameras.

i don't think i ever took any great shots with the 2 i had before and i have no samples that are identified.
but i don't remember thinking 'what a dog' when looking at any either.
this is supposed to be a very clean sample with good glass.
i'm looking forward to taking /showing some shots.

the lens is in vancouver in the 'sortation plant'.

the lens arrived today and it not quite as advertised.
the focus and aperture bind like crazy and when changing aperture the lens disengages from the lock, that's how stiff it is.
the seller offers a 7 day inspection period.
i have emailed him asking for a partial refund and i will fix it myself (!!) or he can have it back.

Ebay is great for "needs repair" and "For Parts" cameras. There are sellers I trust, like Richard Tillis and others. But the "I know nothing about cameras that I bought for $1 at garage sales" is on every page of listings.
