I got my Chinese m4/3-to-M adapter (the one available on ebay) today. I have the Hex 35/2 UC mounted on the camera right now. Gonna shot a little later today. I'll try to post pictures of the adapter a little later.

Hmm... With my Novoflex adapter and a 35mm f/1.4 Nokton, I get this:
at .8m actual distance, the Nokton is at its minimum (.7m)
at 2m actual distance, the Nokton scale is at about 1.3m
at 5m actual distance, the Nokton scale is at about 2.2m
at 10m actual distance, the Nokton scale is at about 2.9m
at infinity, the Nokton scale is a tiny bit over 3m

Contact novoflex. They offer a replace...
The second one seems perfect.

rover, the zm lenses seem to focus at infinity and not past.

Hi Joe, I recently received the CQ M to MFT adapter and found that none of my ZM lenses (50 f2 planar, 35 f2 biogon, 18 f4 distagon) are able to achieve infinity focus wide open when mounted on the G1 with the CQ adapter. My CV lenses that I checked (75 2.5 and 40 1.4) both focus sharply at infinity when mounted to the G1 with the same adapter. This one has me puzzled. If I can get a clear day and suitable infinity target I'll try some test shots with the ZM lenses on both the M8 and G1 with CQ adapter.

Carl

i'm not sure if the lenses were set to wide open when i checked.
i'll do another check after work if there is enough light.

Hi Joe, Did you get a chance to check infinity focus on your Zeiss lenses? I'm still not sure if there is a problem with the CQ adapter or my Zeiss lenses, but they are way off the mark with this adapter on the G1. I have another adapter coming from John Milich and when that arrives I'll find out if it is an adapter or lens(es) problem. Example, the 50 planar hits the infinity stop at about 50 yards without achieving sharp focus.

Carl

I just got my Novoflex M-adapter today and it seems to be one of the new series. It's thickness is about 8.5 to 8.6 millimeters (i don't have a very exact caliper).
My 35mm Nokton focusses just a tiny bit past infinity with the Novoflex, and the distance scale is absolutely usable.
Novoflex has also eliminated the issue with the locking pin, that prevented a lens from being detached with the adapter still on the cam.
I also got the Novoflex LEM/CAN for using FD lenses with both adapters stacked together, and I don't have any focussing issues with this combination either.

This is great news. I've been waiting for my Novoflex replacement adapter to hit Vancouver for a few weeks now... hopefully it'll get here soon (my first was unusable since I often tend to 'zone focus'). Good to hear of the locking pin fix -- that's a bonus!
