GR Digital V to have APS-C sensor

245g weight (the battery, including media)

that's it, i'm buying this, and the good video is a welcom addition too (ricoh's were a little weak on video until now...)
unbelievable size/performance

what a sweet little rig. too bad my X100 has a marginally more useful (to me) 35/2 so I ...ah what the hell am I talking about. I'll probably end up buying one.

I am not a fan of the Pentax line only because for a csc it is no different than using a dslr in terms of overall size. I understand their marketing strategy and it makes sense given where they came from and how they have survived over the years.

I really hope the gr line is a success ... We keep a Ricoh model line in the mix and the differentiation point is Pentax for the dslr like cameras and Ricoh for the smaller form factor apsc..

When I think Ricoh I think of the original gr line and later the gxr one.

I really like my GRDIII, but I would LOVE to see Ricoh releasing the new model also with 35 or 40 mm lens (with a converter to 24mm if I may ask for it 🙂 ) even if the aperture would be f/2.8 ...

I guess that this is the camera that Ricoh announced like a camera for Ricoh fans some time ago and I agree. I just hoped for some updates of the GXR line.

Officially announced, B&H lists it at $796.95.

Surprisingly it still shares the same DB-65 battery with the whole GR Digital line, and retains the 300-ish battery life. What say you Sigma?
