Hello
When my GR1v prewinds the film, it makes weird clicking noises and struggles a bit to prewind the film. It does prewind it, but I only get 35 frames instead of the usual 37. The rewind after doesn't seem to have any problems as well as in between shots (although I haven't tried developing the rolls yet to see if there's framing spacing issues)
What could be going on? I tried different rolls of film and they all have this issue, and I just started getting it today.

Maybe the battery is dying. Maybe the fresh roll is wound too tightly.
My experience with Fuji film, for example, is that the light trap is squeezed too tightly, and I almost always have problems using Fuji film with certain cameras.
By the way, Rite Aid color print film is made by Fuji and has the same issue.

If you've tried another roll of film and a fresh battery, the camera may require service.

The best camera is one that still works!

I noiced that with Fuji myself ... even my Zeiss Ikon with manual advance doesn't like the stuff. Jammed the camera up quite nicely on one occasion!

Battery seems okay with everything else, but it's a cheap one from the dollar store (still cost $7!!) so maybe that's it.
I got the problem with the Arista Premium, but the roll just before of the same stuff was fine, and i tried again with Tri-x and got the same thing.
Sure hope it's not something that needs repair since I just had the camera repaired a month ago from criscam..

Shoot! I thought I'd open up the bottom and see what's going on, and while I was putting it back I made the mistake of turning the camera right side up, which made the gears pill out!
I kind of got it back together, but I have an extra black gear and a copper ring thing. Does anyone know what goes where? Hopefully this pic helps..

Fixed it! turns out there was a small piece of debris stuck in one of the cog things, cause the little stub thing in the film chamber to be too stiff, so that the motor couldn't pull on it smoothly.

Hi, I have the same problem. I would like to know how you fixed it. I've already shout "feeew!" when all the little engrenage system felt on the table
Wich cog you got the debris? White/black left/right? Thanx for your answer.
Chris.

Okay I've fixed it too. Very tiny little little debris also on the 1st black cog bottom left. Yahoo! My GR1v doesn't do any clicks anymore and became smooth as before. Thanx
Chris.
