OK I'd like to add a couple of points of information to this thread, there are a lot of things happening on streets that get lumped into Graf... to the artists there is a difference so here goes.. there are ;
• Paste ups
• Stencils
• Tags
• Graffiti
These cover most of the things you see on streets however there are other things happening out there too.
Each year Toronto holds one of the largest graffiti events in North America. It is called “style in progress” and features graffiti writers primarily from all over North America, Europe and some other places.
Here is a link to some of my older stuff taken about 3-4 years ago. About 2 years ago I deleted about 20+ shots in my RFF gallery due to lack of interest at this site. I will also be deleting the work I have at flickr shortly. My personal folder of shots goes back over 7 years now and the scene is actually maturing and becoming less guerilla and more mainstream. Some of the writers are now doing full scale murals for corporations and other public art installations. Bet you wish you’d bought work by people like Daim http://www.daimgallery.com/ back in the day… ;- )
