Grain and sodium bisulfite

Hi everybody

I read that a small amount of sodium bisulfite solution (9%?) to the developer can reduce grain. Do you have an opinion about this? What is your recipe?

I want to try it with HC-110 and HP-5 (800 ISO) or Delta 3200.

Any comments?

And film speed as well, D76 1:1 is the standard dev for grain, speed and actuance, vary anything and you have swings and roundabouts.

Sodium Sulphite is what you need not BiSulphite.....

add between 7% and 12% solution to the distilled water to make the developer dilution you want.....be careful because BiSulphite will soften and reticulate the emulsion......don
