That's a ratio of 1.7625 comments per 1 uploaded photo... wow, beat that, photo.net

So i just uploaded some of my favourites and I realized, only one is made with a rangefinder :bang: (but that will change soon!). I hope i'm allowed non-rf uploads too:)

I should credit Todd, Doug, Richard, Taffer and Gene for many of the comments I see. I wish I spent more time looking and commenting photos, but I tend to gravitate to the forum more than the gallery.

Pherdinand: you'll be severely punished for posting a non-RF shot in the gallery... and we'll make a public example of your case! How dare you!

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself...

Hi, Pherdinand! You're right, that's an impressive comment content! I think it's best to upload only RF pics, as that common interest is what draws us together. "Playing fair" is another way of looking at it.

One Gallery is exempted, and that's the Northwest Gallery. That may be unfair too, since you'll be unlikely to have scenic pics of the USA Pacific Northwest, and yet it's easy for those of us who live here! I don't know why non-RF pics are welcome in NW Gallery, and I admit being a bit uneasy that virtually all of my shots uploaded to that Gallery are from an SLR. Reasonably, though, if they WEREn't from an SLR they'd already have been posted to some other regular gallery. What makes me feel a little guilty is that the NW Gallery images appear mixed among the RF Galleries when you look at Recent Posts or do searches. You have to look at the fine print near the top of the page displaying the single image to see that this SLR shot is in the NW Gallery, otherwise you could think "hey, unfair".

But I may be too compartmentalized in my thinking. :)

Don't worry, Joe. No conspiracy, just some undermining of your authority. :)

Hmm, subversive solution! I'm sure there's a NW of Australia, some NW corner of Singapore, Northwewstern Spain (was just talking to a college student who'd spent a year there studying), NW Germany... NW Canada? Nature photos of course. What's WTA?
