It has me thinking about an SP, even though they are slow to use; I need to smack myself, and just stick with my trusty Canonet GIII...

Anyone else got any really good Olympus RF links? (aside from cameraquest & photoethnography)

I'm familiar w/ http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~yue/misc/rangfndr.html. Andrew Yue is a fellow Texan and a nice guy who will politely answer your questions too. The SP is a great Camera although a little pricey nowadays. I wish I had a black one!

Isn't it true that one has to remember the EV reading from the light meter, then lower the camera and dial in a setting that corresponds to that EV? That's one step slower than when it can be adjustable in the finder.

Jeremy: Once I get a base reading and set the exposure, then as the light changes I just have to adjust aperture or shutter speed as the EV changes. Once you get used to it, it's intuitive and fast.

I use the spot meter a lot, which makes exposure more precise for me.

Trius - that's the method I use. Combined with the spot meter, it works quite well for me.
