Green filter for Elmar. Only 68.00GBP!!

I'm assuming that the bidders on this item thought they were buying a lens complete with a green filter, or am I just displaying my ignorance of the value of Leica compatible gear?

The same day seller listed filter, he also added exploded notice for those who could think lens is included.

If someone is ready to pay this amount (not even strength or filter factor is mentioned), it shows that round metal piece with a bit of green glass is really scarce. Or is thought to be such.

At least, I don't believe bidders acted under impression lens is included.

I had it on my watch list and was about to bid on it until I read the seller's explanation. The seller sold what appears to be the lens pictured and I believe it sold for 2x the filter 😀 Or rather, the filter sold for 1/2 the price of the lens.

I am still looking for a Leitz lens for my CL and I know a collapsible might be asking for trouble but this seems to be one of the "inexpensive" ways to get there.

I want to add that I did get a Fed collapsible to try out and somehow it collapses in my CL. Not sure if it hits the meter arm as i don't dare to try too much for fear of damaging the meter arm.

A lot of money for an Argus C3 filter.

I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to search for "Argus" instead of "Leica"... Walz 19mm screw in filters for the C3 are a perfect fit for my Elmar.

but i can't seem to get it to fit my LTM Summaron and Industar-50. My elmar is coming back next week from the shop and I wonder if it will fit since the I-50 is supposed to be a copy of it....

(the screw / groove doesn't seem to fit)
