grey diafine?

Argggg, Joe! But I'll still try to help by suggesting the greyness may be the anti-halation dye from the film. Hey, what's "soup" without visible ingredients? :)

thanks guys!

sorry but i have friend who believe in puns almost like a religions.

and i had it backwards, it's the b solution that is turning grey, a seems clear still.

some day my prints will come...groan...:)

One of these days...I'm going to meet you. When I do I'm going to personally smack you for saying this. In a very friendly, glad-to-meet-you way of course.

my diafine solution a is starting to turn a bit grey.

is this normal?

solution b is still clear.

It is not unusual for Diafine to start looking like a lab experiment gone terribly wrong... and it is fine.

When the chunks start to congobulate (I made that word up :) ), I sometimes strain it through a filter, sometimes not... it has never seemed to bother the film, only the user.

i had another small eureka today.

i have been using diafine but having a hard time with the little or no agitation rule - so today while it was in solution a...i vacuumed the living room. and while it was in solution b...i vacuumed the hallway & bathroom.

interestingly, my negs seem to have way more meat to them then previous attempts.

looking forward to scanning and posting some.
