Grey people

Grey...I like myself in grey. I tend to wear grey instead of black in most instances. I am especially fond of dark grey. I like grey skies and shooting photos in the rain, so that has to count somewhere. So yeah, I'm grey, and I'm okay with that.

Pardon my ignorance, but what seems to be a "grey people"? Lacking color, or lacking youth? I thought "grey people" in this thread was about how bad the skin tones looked in a poorly-exposed or poorly-printed photo.

But that's just me, being ever-so-literal.

"Its not easy being grey" it couldn't resist paraphrasing Kermit The Frog (and Jim Henson).

Wait... aren't the "greys" those mysterious men from other dimensions originally mentioned in urban legend and the original "Men In Black" comics?

Oh MY!

Gray/grey? Shux friends, I've got kids as old (older?) than Roger Hicks. I'm Gray!
And the only reason I'm a Shutterbug subscriber is to read his articles.

Don't go away, dear friend.

I am reminded of both The Grateful Dead's "A Touch of Grey" and "Grey Day" by Madness. Both apply in my situation, depending on how I feel that day.

No apologies necessary Roger, sometimes it's hard to keep track of all the discussions going on around here.

Coming back to Roger's original topic, I thought the PN post/thread calling us "grey people" was hysterical. Apparently, some people believe you can't have a meaningful discussion on the Internet if people aren't belittling each other and generally carrying on like idiots but rather state their opinions (and their differences) politely and with a willingness to actually HEAR the other person's point of view. Well, a wise person once said, a closed mouth gathers no foot.

If this is what it means to be grey, then I embrace my blandness proudly. Besides, grey is an easy color to coordinate with when getting dressed in the morning. 🙂

Having spent a number of years working in emergency medicine, grey is what one looks like when you cease to pump oxigenated blood - DEAD.
I'll choose RED, PURPLE or any color that means life flows still.
And while even my B&W images may be in shades of grey, I hope they continue to be "colorful" to the viewer ~ ; - )
