Hi,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nick, and like many here I am addicted to old (some say "classic") cameras. My current collection includes: Yashica Electro CC, Yashica GSN, Agfa Ventura 66, Kiev 60, a Vivitar 3000S, plus a slew of 35mm and medium format fixed focal length lenses. (Oh yes, and one digicam - a Panasonic Lumix FZ-1v2). I aslo use an Omega enlarger, jobos, chemistry, filters, light meters, etc., etc., etc...

Thanks to the greyhoundman, I have a new beauty to add to my family of cameras, a Yashica Lynx 14. The camera arrived from eBay in not so hot shape.

Greyhoundman absolutely transformed this broken down old camera to its fully functional original state. I'm amazed at the quality of his work, the job was done in a week at a very fair price. I am absolutely thrilled.

... I can't thank him enough, and for what it's worth, thought public props were in order.

Regards all, pleasure to "meet" you...

Nick

Hey, Charles- do I know you ; ) Very nice gallery by the way. I'll get one up as soon as I stop being lazy and start scanning.

Quite a camera collection ya got thar, Henryzx. I imagine life is good.

Welcome Nick! Happy to see another nut join the group :D
(I should have my 5000e and Electro 35 GSN this weekend  )

Thank you. thank you thank you....

Oops...

I'm not the G'man...but, he is awesome and faster than a speeding bullet!

However, I'm just wondering, G'man, do you ever repair anthing other than Yashica?

I'm going to piggyback on this thread because I just got a couple of cameras back from Greyhoundman today--a Yashica GS and GSN. They look and feel great and I'm eager to run some film through them. Also, I thought I did a reasonably good job packing them, but I'm put to shame by how well he packed them for the return trip. I think the postal delivery truck could have driven off a bridge into a river and the cameras would have still been fine they were so well packed.

Thanks G'man!

I had him do a make-over on my run down GS. I thought it was in pretty good shape till I got it back. It's like a different camera. I also bought a Minolta 7s from him for $40.00 that is in beautiful condition. I'm amazed. I don't think he's much in to working on Minoltas though.
