That's what I was looking for. Saw them about 6 months ago on eBay but the vendor seems to a have evaporated. Haven't had luck on Google either. I figured if there was anything still out there, somebody here probably knew where it was. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I have this grip for both my F3 and FM3a that I bought from a Korean seller on ebay. I just searched and it seems they only seem to have a ghastly red one with a thick base for the FM series. Maybe you could message him. They're light simple, well finished and work well...
The trick with the MD-4 is to screw in a MR-3 release on the lower right hand bottom corner. Then, when you have the camera in portrait mode, you can use your left hand fingers to fire the shutter. There is no half-press meter activation with this button though. It's all or nothing.
The Nikon F2 series motor drives offered the same equivalent for triggering in the portrait mode.
