anyone here recover their rd1 with grip tac, either the black or the grey?
does it improve the handling?
i normally use a grip on my cameras but have not added one on the rd1 yet...started to think maybe te grip tac might be an alternative.
any comments or photos welcome.

I don't have an RD-1 Joe, but I did re-cover my MP with GripTac. I think it's a terrific covering. It certainly improved the handling of my MP.

i'm wondering about the rd1 because the body is a bit fatter than most rf's. morgan's site seems to indicate that griptac is pretty thin but i wanted to check before ordering.

I ordered the griptac from Morgan and received it, but I found it to be way too thin, and sent it back to him. I'd ask him what he has that's as thick as the RD1 grip material and see if you can find something that looks/feels good in that.
