GSN aperture repair

Just picked up a GSN from ebay, advertised as working. First thing that I noticed is that the aperture is stuck wide open and does not close down when moving the ring. Can this be repaired or should I be looking for another one? All advice will be appreciated.

PM me for US repair options. I tried a couple times to get a $20 bargain wonder and failed. Now, I think of this camera, with service, as a really good $100 photography tool.

I usually take the lens apart until I can get to the blades and gently apply some lighter fluid with a fresh Q-tip and try to free them up.

This sounds like someone had the lens barrel apart and didn't align the aperture actuation mechanism properly when the put it back together. There is an arm on the aperture ring that engages a fork farther down in the lens barrel to actually move the aperture blades. It is very easy to reassemble the lens and not have things engaged properly.
