GT vs GSN

What is the difference between the two? the GT is black- the GSN is not. the lenses are the same, no?

According to the Yashica Guy the main difference between the GS/GT and the GSN/GTN is that the latter have a hot-shoe for flash.

My memory may be a bit foggy, but as I recall the GSN and GTN also allowed one to use higher speed film than my old GT.

the electricity conductivity makes sense- on my electro GT, i have to use a dime instead of the regular battery cap to conduct the electricity from the battery to the camera!

AFAICR, "G" ment "gold mechanica" to remark that the camera had gold plated contacts instead of plain printed circuit material as the original Electro35 had; the "T" or the "S" just mean black or silver, and the N means NEW, but the only addition was a hot shoe (allways AFAICR)!!

The shutter blades on the GSNs I have seen were finished in matt black rather than the steel blue of the earlier models to improve the contrast of the lens...
edited: Apparently the later production runs of the GS/GT have the matt black finish also.
