A friend of mine sent me this picture:

... and told me to guess how much all that must cost.

Well I have no clue and it is an awful lot of money, but more then that...what a collection!

As I sit here on this rainy day I think...wow there are too many people with way too much money.

Just give me that poor little leica on the top right hand side (the silver/titanium one) and I'll be content 🙂

I must show this photo to my wife... makes me look good 🙂

Avotius... at least you have a rich friend.... Most of us don't know anyone that rich.

I dont really care how much it all costs. To me - question is - do these cameras/lenses get used to take pictures? Or they are all just for display? Because if so - it's very sad, as they all should belong to people that can put them to a good use.
But yes - pretty picture.

None of my friends are that rich! If they were I would be borrowing not buying 🙂

Some nice pieces here, gold Hassy, gold Rolleiflex, a Linhof Technorama, lots of Leicas, great LF cameras and lenses... I am not very comfortable with these gold cameras plus with the white Canon tele, which is really out of place in this collection. Then I really have no clue about how much that movie camera should cost... Anyway, by my eye this stuff could be worth between 100-150k USD these days. Not much really, if you think that the P65 digi back alone goes for around 50k... But they say it takes pretty snapshots 🙂

Okay I'll play: $60,000. Is it like the Price is Right? (closest without going over)

Beautiful picture, but I agree the white Canon lens is out of place. They should replace it with a nice 80/1.8
