guess which 35mm lens game

I finally got a 35mm Summicron IV for my M6 and immediately took some test shots to compare with the Hexar AF, since I also had a Yashica 35 CCN and an X100, I decided to compare all 4 of them wide open.
I used the same roll, Neopan 400@1600 and developed on HC-110 for 11minutes. Then scanned with the Pakon f135+
The X100 files were converted to B&W using VSCO05 Neopan400 preset

All at f/2 except the CCN at f/1.8

I can only tell which one is x100 for sure, lol. The other 3 are hard to tell because the lighting is little bit different between some of the shots, and they don't seem to have the same DOF. But anyways there is my wild guess: 1. CCN, 2. Hexar, 3. Cron, 4. X100

Showed on this size, this film and processing, this scanner, all pictures could be made with any lens.

oops, don't know what happened but I updated the links


One thing to point is that I couldn't lock the AF on the drummer so what I had to do was MF the Hexar AF at 0.8m but I was mostly interested on the quality of bokeh and not so much on sharpness

This is the CCN at f/5.6, notice the ugly star bokeh on the rice cooker.

Since the camera rates only up to ASA 500 and Aperture priority, I couldn't control the exposure so it must have over-exposed the film then the scanner compensated on it

Star shaped bokeh on the CC/CCN has always been a bone of contention from what I gather on different forums.
